Hey,

I have been asked to be someones bridesmaid, im not really friends with the bride to be but she doesn’t have many mates so she asked me if i will be one.

Problem is im prone to panic attacks and general freaking out in the public eye. There are well over 100 guests going aswell and the walk tho the alter is quite far.

I have told her that i will probably faint or freak out and asked if the men could walk the bridesmaids down the eisle so im less likely to fall flat on my face or worse, run the opposite direction. she said it was fine but now she has changed her mind and we are walking down alone, worst of all im first bridesmaid to walk down and obviously the one that is standing there the longest.

i realise that this day isn’t about me but i also dont want to ruin it for them because i have a panic attack in the middle of it (i had one at my best friends 21st and stood there with a microphone in my hand for a long time staring at everyone without saying one word then just left the stage)

anyway this is getting rambling long………. so does anyone have any tips on not fainting, vomiting, falling or any other things that could possibly happen to me when there are many eyes are on me??
oh and the wedding is in 6 days time, rehersal is tomorrow but its NOT being held at the same venue as the ceremony (pointless i think)

Hi.
I’ve been experiencing these symptoms recently: heart flutter, panic attacks, excessive sweating, vision problems (seeing spots), shortens of breath, anxiety and depression.

Wow huh? : P
So what causes it? I drink caffeine, smoke, don’t exercise too often and have a few beers with mates on saturday night.
I’m 25 years old. Horoscope sign Gemini (some will find this info useful, dont laugh : P )

First I thought that my heart has problems, but it turns out that I’m completly healthy (did a full med check not long ago).
About anxiety and panic attacks: usually happens when I’m alone. It’s so bad that I sometimes kick something, like a strong punch at the wall – reaction that is somewhat automatic, I need to jump from my chair and feel strong sudden pain. If I dont I have the wierd feeling that I would faint (?!). Other then that I splash some water at the face and it usually helps.

Possible stress source: I’m an entrepreneur and work with stress 24/7.

Any similar situations?
more info about Gemini in the working environment: I did some readings (although haven’t’ managed to find much) along with talking too people who are Gemini as well. The symptoms are usually similar – suffering from an "overflow" of ideas from time to time and normally the inability to put them all into motion results in the huge stress.
Personally I am very good in starting the project, setting the guidelines, the crucial points and the desired goals/outcomes, but when it comes to sole realisation (if I work on it alone), I usually loose concentration when I’m 50% finished. I start to have second thoughts, such as my euphoric optimism just vanishes and gets replace by pessimism.
I mention this as it is usually the introduction to my stress. Soon I start too feel very nervous (start to think about wasted time and money and the inability to go on with my work) – then the symptoms kick in. Related: when I work, I usually work hard – sometimes even for 48 hours without sleep (very bad).
