I’m not sure if I’ve inherited my mother’s frequent anxiety attacks, or if it’s something different. I do know I have a hyperthyroid, but.
I randomly get nauseous, weak, shaky, and my heart beats like a jackhammer, and it lasts anywhere from 15 minutes to all day, and then suddenly it’s gone. I don’t know if it’s an anxiety attack, a symptom of hyperthyroidism, or something else.
Is there any way to keep it from happening? I can’t see a doctor unless I’m deathly ill, as my mother tries as hard as she can to save money, so I can’t get any prescription medication or medical advice except from here.
I have a habit of eating at least once or twice an hour. Yet, I’m underweight. :|
I know it’s not the place to get diagnosed, but it’s the best I can get right now. I’m not a very outright person, and I’ve told her a thousand times about my symptoms, but she just says "You’re having an anxiety attack, it’ll pass."
Oh, and we don’t buy fruits unless my brother or I ask to while we’re at the store. Stupid, I know. I’m also not allowed to eat the vegetables, because she uses them for meals and my father’s lunch.

I have thyroid cancer and am on suppressive therapy and my TSH is real low (<0.006) and my free T4 is 2.2H. I have been having all the symptoms of hyperthyroidism which leads to panic attacks which then I get tense in my cheast area and think I am having a heart attack. I also have been getting bouts of consectutive heart palpitations, breathlessness , panicky, shakey, and severe dry eyes.

To answer some of your questions:
It’s not terrible pain, just a little uncomfortable…Like I am full of air. I’m 26 years old. I also have fibromyalgia and have been diagnosed with chronic bronchitis and have had chondritis before. I also have been in the ER multiple times with an impacted bowel. I’m reading your answers and it’s scaring me…Like I am dying. Not good to hear when you are a hypochondriac. There is no history of heart problems in the family. I do not drink or smoke. I do slouch a lot and cough a lot as well. I also don’t excercise as much as I should so most of my muscles hurt. I also use Icy-Hot and a heating pad constantly. Any ideas still?
Oh…And I take Toprol-XL for MVP, not high blood pressure or angina. I have normal blood pressure and for the past 4 days I have been having these symptoms my pule has been normal, except last night when I had a major anxiety attack. Of course, it went back to normal though. So, if I was to have a heart attack or was having one, wouldn’t last night’s episode put it over the edge? I am also not overweight, I am just slightly under, but have gained about 10 pounds drinking protein shakes. I am now 108 and I am 5′4". So, there is no risk factors for cardiac problems. But, that doesn’t mean I can’t have them. Also, my mother has hyperthyroidism. I have been checked and it has been normal, although, it has been awhile.
I’m also starting to burp a lot and have a taste in my mouth. I’ve alos noticed that not only does it feel like I am full of air but that I am having hungry pangs. The pressure lessens slightly and for a few minutes after I eat. But, then returns.
