Acid Reflux/Anxiety…How do I get rid of these symptoms!(story inside!)?

November 1st, 2009 by admin | Filed in Anxiety Attacks

I got it from STRESS. In my Senoir year in High School I had 2 HUGE anxiety attacks in ONE day where I had to be hospitalized both times. After that, I went through this phase where I felt like I had to "Drink water to live" and I had the WORST case of Insominia where I couldn’t SLEEP for like 2 weeks. I would literally feel like a ZOMBIE.(haha right?) Well after that subsided I was constipated for like a week. Then after the constipation was over I had THE RUNS BAD FOR like two weeks. I was constantly HOT and a little less then a month later…The reflux started. First it was the inflammation of the throat, then the food coming back up.(Kind of like throwing up but not!)

Some of my symptoms are:
Food coming back up my throat.
My food isn’t being broke down enough and it causes pain in my stomach.
And I have inflammation in my throat throughout the day.

^^^That’s my biggest one!

What are some day to day routines I could do to eliminate these symptoms?

Don’t drink soda, eat fried or greasy foods, no caffiene. Sleep with an extra pillow or two under your head. Don’t eat anything 3 hours prior to going to bed.

Also, don’t smoke. No acidy fruits..Orange and apple juice are biggies for me. No ketchup either. Chocolate is a big one too. It has caffiene in it.

It sounds like you might have an ulcer though. Which could have been caused by the stress

Man if you have’nt gone to a Doc you need to soon you are screwed up. I hope you get well, I suffer from acid reflux and take 2 pepcid everyday, I live with it and control it but you need to see a doctor.

You definitely need to get tests to see if you have an ulcer, GERD, or other condition that should be treated.
