ANYBODY THAT KNOWS ABOUT ANXIETY?

February 4th, 2010 by admin | Filed in Anxiety Attacks

hi, i think i am suffering from anxiety or derealization. i smoked alot high quality pot about 7 weeks ago from a aqua lung.. in the past before that. i smoked pot from time to time..while i was high, i had a major panic or anxiety attack. it Thought i was going to die, my heart was beating fast, i had major shortness of breath.. i was tripping out.. 7 weeks from my experience i have been feeling still been in sort of a high-like state.. and anxiety symptoms:

-Frequent yawning to try and catch your breath
-Fear that you are losing your mind
-Derealization
-Obsession about sensations or getting better
-Short-term learning impairment, have a hard time learning new information
-Feeling down in the dumps
-Eyes sensitive to light
-Spots in the vision
-Difficulty thinking, speaking, forming thoughts, following conversations

it’s like i cant tell if im back to normal..but i know i know im not?..hard to explain. i know that my mom and sisters have had problems with anxiety. is this just temporary? i am going to tell my parents and go to a doctor if i dont feel better in 2 weeks. and when i do..i dont want to tell them about the weed i just wanna say that, i had a panic attack awhile ago and i havent felt the same since.. would that be alright, would i get the same diagnoses?
all answers are greatly appreciated..oh yeah.. and is it the pot that causes the derealization? or is it the pot that caused anxiety for me to get derealization?

p.s. i have not smoked pot since my experience, and dont telll me to go to a doctor or therapist..

Hi Bryce! I’m sorry to hear that you are feeling so rough right now. Anxiety attacks are never pleasant and while there is a history of them in your family, I suspect that yours was triggered by the weed. It is more than likely that the weed caused your feelings of "derealization" and all the other problems you mentioned. Rather than wait two weeks to see if you start feeling better, I would advise you to see your doctor sooner. The reason for this is that with the holiday season almost here, everyone feels stress to some degree, but with the other problems caused by smoking the weed, your anxiety could be more than it would normally be and cause you to feel worse. When you see the doctor, it would be best to be honest and tell him about the weed as it will likely cause him to decide on another medication to put you on to help you get past all this. Please take care of yourself in the meanwhile, get lots of rest, eat regularly and eat good healthy foods, This will help stabilize your body but it won’t be enough to get you through this rough patch. Only your doctor will be able to do that. Take care of yourself! Know that others can sympathize with the way you are feeling and I personally would like to see you feeling better and enjoying a better quality of life.

Man no lie I experience the exact same stuff from the same thing, Weed. As I read I feel as if i wrote this recently.

Honestly the very best thing you can do for yourself is stay healthy, drink tons of water, and the biggest one is find something that occupies you physically and mentally. A new activity is a good one. I recently started running and have always snowboarded but now snowboard even more just to put my bad feelings and energy into that and it helps sooo much. With enough exercise you will really start to feel better trusst me its been working great for me.

Also the more you think about it and dwell on it, the more real it will become. If it pops into your sub conscious and you can learn to say its not really and ignore it, then you have won the battle

Generalized anxiety occurs when you feel worried and stressed about many everyday events and activities. Often the things you are worried about are small or not important. This type of worry disrupts your life most days. Everyone gets worried or anxious sometimes, but people with generalized anxiety experience more than normal everyday worries.

Many people who have generalized anxiety have physical symptoms, such as headaches or being tired all the time.People who have generalized anxiety get worried and stressed about many things almost every day. They have a hard time controlling their worry.

You might also have physical symptoms, such as:

Feeling tired or irritable; having a hard time concentrating.
    Having headaches or muscle aches.
    Having a hard time swallowing.
Feeling shaky; sweating or having hot flashes.
Feeling light headed, sick to your stomach, or out of breath.
Having to go to the bathroom often.
Feeling like you can’t relax; being startled easily.
Having problems falling or staying asleep.

Having panic attack and anxiety is really painfull and stressfull. That’s not the symptom easy to get rid of if you not get the right method. I had panic attack and anxiety high level almost 5 years. My doctor gave me many different medicine even Xanax still did not help.

Luckilly I have found one method that work on me and helped me o get rid of panic attack forever. I also hae read some good stories about the people who success when used the same method here:
